Tools for a Happy Birthday

My son is a builder.  He's been remodeling his 100+ year old farmhouse for the past 6 years, completely redoing the inside and outside, pretty much on his own.  So what else do you make for him when it's birthday time?

Trusty Tools is the perfect man-card stamp set!  Lots of tools and the pegboard to hang them on!

I teamed up the tools with a piece of my favorite designer paper, Country Woods.

The tools were stamped and cut with the Trusty Tools dies - so easy!  I also cut a few extra nuts and screws (included in the die set) to embellish the greeting.

Trusty Tools has been around for a little while, so I suspect they may retire when the next catalog comes around.  Why not pick them up while you can still get them?  You'll always have ideas for man cards!

Wanted to Say

I have a "hip twin", a friend who is undergoing hip replacement surgery today.  Since I recently had the same surgery I know what she is going through.  Thought I'd send a little encouragement:

And I've got some new products to highlight too!

There are two patterns of new designer series paper on this card - Everyday Happiness is a pack that is featured in the new Scrapbook Brochure.  This 12" x 12" paper has 12 sheets, but instead of only two of each pattern, there are 4 sheets of 3 patterns (double sided), making it perfect for layouts in your memory keeping books.  But it's also great for cards!

I cut them with two different die sets, also new:  the background rectangle was cut using the upcoming Textured Notes Dies (available in the OnLine Exclusives in March, but you can get it now if you are a Stampin' UP! demonstrator!).  There are 8 rectangle dies, each with a different border.  You'll have fun using these on your cards!

And that circle?  One of the Spotlight on Nature dies, currently available in the Annual Catalog.  Many options for your circles with this set, again with different border edges.

Another die set created my sentiment.  Wanted to Say is a great set for four greetings that I use all the time.

And what's that pretty sand dollar?  One of my all-time favorite hybrid embossing folders, Seaside Wishes can cut AND emboss these beauties in 3 sizes.

Finishing touches - the coral, cut with the Ocean Friends dies, and the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Would you like to receive a card like this after your surgery?  I know I would!

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration, Day 5

Still on a roll with all the Sale-a-Bration products!  Since SAB is coming to an end at the end of the month, I've been featuring many of the FREE products available during this special time of the Stampin' UP! year, when every $60 purchase enables you to choose a FREE item of your choice!

Today I've made a card almost entirely out of SAB products.

There are 3 FREE items here:  Starstruck embossing folder, Fruit Salad designer paper and (this one is not to be believed!) Alphabet A La Mode dies!  Yes!  FREE alphabet dies!

I started with two pieces of the Fruit Salad DSP.  Although the front sides of the pages in this pack feature fruits, the back sides of many have patterns, like these polka dot and red patterns.  Fun to mix and match!

Then I took a piece of Basic White, ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine with the FREE Starstruck embossing folder, and wrapped it in ribbon.

And then those dies!  Such a classic letter shape!  Just a piece of Adhesive Sheet on the back help to easily adhere them to all your projects.

Sale-a-Bration will be ending soon.  So if you haven't picked up your FREE products, don't wait!  I'd hate for you to miss out!  And be sure to check out these additional FREE products!

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration, Day 4

Who would have guessed that there are so many items you can snag for FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration?  I've been featuring some of the products this week, and I have another for you today.  The Bee Builder Punch!

When Bee My Valentine came out last year, it quickly became a favorite, not just for Valentine's Day, but for a variety of occasions.  The Bee Builder Punch made creating this little bee so easy!

Bee My Valentine continues to be a current/available stamp set, but WAIT!  There is a new bee on the block!  If you've perused the new Scrapbooking Brochure. you might have seen the Meant to Bee bundle.  This adorable set includes two sizes of bees (one larger than the one above, and a smaller one) along with a few greetings and some flowers and really cute faces.  But the really great part of this bundle is the dies!  A set of hexagons in graduated sizes that not only cut the inside, but also a little rim around the outside of each die.  It's like getting 10 dies in one set!

Now back to my bee.  I stamped each piece and used the FREE Bee Builder Punch to crop the body, wings and antenna.  He's so sweet!

And do you see those hexagon die-cuts?  I cut two smaller ones (Basic White and Daffodil Delight) and two larger ones (Basic White and Floral Delight designer paper) and used the rims to set off the centers.

And those sequins!  I've had them sitting in my craft room for ages, but they were just right for this card - The Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins come in three colors, and I needed Old Olive!  Perfect!

Sale-a-Bration is coming to an end (the end of the month!) and you won't want to miss out on so many FREE goodies!  And to see the additional products now available as your gift with qualifying purchase, look here.
