Interactive Gift Card Holder

Today is my grandson, Nate's 12th birthday.  H loves his video games (like almost every 12-year old?) so we gave him a gift card so he can purchase one.  But me being me, I needed to present it in a special way!  Fortunately I remembered I had posted, long ago, a video on how to make an Interactive Gift Card Holder.  So I brought up the video, checked the directions, and created this:

 So what's the "interactive" part?

Watch:

Isn't that cool?

I used Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist (great boy celebration colors!) and found some of my DSP stash of Bright & Beautiful paper in the same colors.  I actually asked ChatGPT (AI) for a third color choice, and got the suggestion of Pumpkin Pie.

So I created a little banner, using the Birthday Celebrations dies (an OnLine Exclusive) to add to the top of my card.  Unfortunately, I no longer have a small alphabet set or dies that will fit on this tiny banner, so I had to resort to my own printing - not the greatest, but still effective, right?

The Happy Birthday was cut with the Wanted to Say dies, a great set that cuts the "bubble" behind the words as well as the words themselves.  It also has a die to make the stars!  So fun!

And inside, the pocket that lifts the gift card.  I added the "12" using the Birthday Celebrations dies too.

I hope he likes his gift!  ðŸ˜Š

One Sheet, Four Cards!

Have you ever taken one sheet of Designer Paper and created many cards?

I saw a technique on Sharon Armstrong's blog where she took one sheet of 6" x 6" paper and created four cards, all different.  Intrigued, I wanted to give it a try.  Look:

I started with a piece of Full of Life 6" x 6" paper, and cut it according to Sharon's instructions.  Then I just had to find coordinating cardstock for my layers, and I was pretty much done!

I think this makes a great "guy" birthday card.  It's clean and simple without too much bling (of course I had to include a little bling, right?).

Here's another:

Fun?  You bet!

Possibilities are endless!  Depending on the design of the patterned paper, you can create portrait or landscape cards with ease.

I'll have step-by-step instructions tomorrow; see you then!

Wanted to Say

I have a "hip twin", a friend who is undergoing hip replacement surgery today.  Since I recently had the same surgery I know what she is going through.  Thought I'd send a little encouragement:

And I've got some new products to highlight too!

There are two patterns of new designer series paper on this card - Everyday Happiness is a pack that is featured in the new Scrapbook Brochure.  This 12" x 12" paper has 12 sheets, but instead of only two of each pattern, there are 4 sheets of 3 patterns (double sided), making it perfect for layouts in your memory keeping books.  But it's also great for cards!

I cut them with two different die sets, also new:  the background rectangle was cut using the upcoming Textured Notes Dies (available in the OnLine Exclusives in March, but you can get it now if you are a Stampin' UP! demonstrator!).  There are 8 rectangle dies, each with a different border.  You'll have fun using these on your cards!

And that circle?  One of the Spotlight on Nature dies, currently available in the Annual Catalog.  Many options for your circles with this set, again with different border edges.

Another die set created my sentiment.  Wanted to Say is a great set for four greetings that I use all the time.

And what's that pretty sand dollar?  One of my all-time favorite hybrid embossing folders, Seaside Wishes can cut AND emboss these beauties in 3 sizes.

Finishing touches - the coral, cut with the Ocean Friends dies, and the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Would you like to receive a card like this after your surgery?  I know I would!

Ocean Friends

I held my monthly card clubs this weekend, and we had lots of fun creating cards with new products.

Ocean Friends is a new bundle from the January - April 2025 Mini Catalog, and we used the stamps, dies, designer papers and new gems to create this card.

I love the paper!  The bright colors and fun patterns are new and exciting!  This card was offered in two color ways - Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo.  This first card used the Pumpkin Pie background, then we added some Summer Splash with another pattern (little starfish sprinkled on a white background) for a layer.

And here's the same card in pink:

As we were creating all birthday cards this month, we added the "celebrate" die-cuts from the Wanted to Say dies.

And then there's that crab - although I offered a double color scheme (this one in Pumpkin Pie and Peach Pie, and another in Melon Mambo with Bubble Bath) almost everyone went for the orange crab.  Cut with one of the coordinating dies, it was then popped up on Dimensionals.

And do you see those tiny starfish in Summer Splash?  So cute - another die in the set.

The Ocean Friends bundle is now available for purchase.  Or make it the whole suite of products - Friends of the Ocean!  Get the bundle (stamps and dies) as well as the Sunny Day Iridescent Dots, Soft Waves embossing folder (not used on this card) AND the Friends of the Ocean 12" x 12" paper!

And purchasing this suite will make you eligible to choose a FREE product of your choice from the Sale-a-Bration brochure!

You won't want to miss this!
