Another Fractured Card

So now you've seen the Fractured Card that I made for Christmas, and I've gotten a lot of comments about how to make it.  Today I have another sample AND a video so you can see how it's done.

This pretty card is made with the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper.  This paper pack includes lots of fall-themed images, from pumpkins to leaves, with photographic images on one side and copper foil accents on the other.  I chose a collage of leaves and decided to create a Double Fractured Card.

And once done, I decorated it with leaves I made myself!  So pretty...I'll include another video tomorrow on how to do this.

So if you'd like to learn how to make a Double Fractured Card, watch the video...and then try one yourself!  I know you'll be hooked.

A Fractured Christmas Card

It's Merry Monday and I have a "fractured" card for you.  And it features some beautiful new patterned paper that is only available while supplies last.  So before it runs out, let me show you:

This is called a "fractured" card because the strips create an effect of the card being "broken".  But it's really quite easy to do.

The Designer Series Paper is called Shining Christmas.  It's lovely, with foil details on each page.  Look:

All the berries on this sheet shine!

For the center of the card I pulled out the Christmas Classics dies - a perfect match for the holly leaves in the paper!  Cut with Mossy Meadow I tied two leaves together with Linen Thread. And see those berries? Did you know you can squirt a little Pearlized Enamel Effects on a Silicone Mat, let it dry and then add them to your cards with just a tiny spot of Liquid Glue?  Genius!

This DSP is only available while supplies last.  It can be found in the Online Exclusives here.  If you love foil, you'll love this paper!  Don't miss it.

A fractured card with foil accents - what could be prettier?

Pretty Paper

I've often said that pretty paper can really "make" a card!  And here's another example of that:

The special release Delightful Floral, available now, is one of these beautiful papers.

With pretty prints on one side and gorgeous water painted solid color on the other you'll be able to coordinate these sheets with so many card stocks and stamps.

I chose the pretty leaf background in Pretty Peacock and Parakeet Party.  It was easy to put these two colors together (one of my favorite combinations right now!).

And I realized that the leaves from Cottage Wreaths is nearly the same shape as those in the background paper.  Stamped in Parakeet Party with an overlay of Pretty Peacock and cut with the Country Wreath dies, it's layered on a piece of Pretty Peacock that is the back of the leaf pattern DSP.

This paper is only available while supplies last.  Check out the Online Exclusives through my online store and pick up a pack before they're gone!
