Panda-monium!

Time for a little fun with pandas - with the Party Pandas set that is.

This cute birthday card uses the Party Panda set, a FREE Sale-a-Bration offering, along with the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.  With the Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy colors, this card could be used for boys or girls (of all ages!).

My friend and fellow demonstrator, Tani, put this card together for our January Card Club, and it was a hit!  We inked up the panda in Archival Black ink, then stamped two extra balloons on Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy cardstock and snipped them out.

The layers (from the card base up) are:  Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black, Pick a Pattern DSP with a band of Emerald Envy, and then Basic Black, Emerald Envy and Whisper White for the panel with the panda.

The Classic Label punch makes the "Happy Birthday" banners easy!  And one balloon is popped up on Dimensionals; we drew in an extra string.  Just adorable!

Bottles and Bubbles

There's a new set in town and it's positively fun!

Bubble Over is the stamp set, but the accessories is what makes this so enjoyable to create with!  I like the bottles, but check out the tags:

There are a number of stamps you can use to create your own labels; put them together and layer them to send your own special message.

And look at the bubbles in the background--they are so cute when you add a little Wink of Stella.

The card is one of the free Sale-a-Bration offerings with a $50 purchase:  Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes.  You get 16 preprinted card bases and envelopes, 4 each of 4 designs.  I chose the Calypso Coral card but I covered it with another FREE Sale-a-Bration item:  Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.  I love the bright colors!

The bottles and labels were stamped and cut with the coordinating Bottles & Bubbles Framelits dies (get the bundle and save 10%) and I layered them on ovals cut with Layering Ovals Framelits.  My colors are Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist, with a little Pool Party thrown in.

Doesn't this card just make you think of summer?  Refreshing!

Silver Mini Gable Boxes? Yes Please!

Have you seen these beautiful little Silver Mini Gable Boxes?

They are so pretty and easy to put together.  And there are so many decorating options!

My mother-in-law recently celebrated her 90th birthday, and in true family fashion, we threw her a party.  Naturally we needed some little favors for the guests to take home, and I had just received my order with these boxes in it.  So imagine the field day I had creating these!

Let's take a closer look:

I started by adhering some retired Designer Series Paper in Silver and White all around the box.  At On Stage in November, we got to make one of these, and were given a 12" x 2" strip of DSP to adhere to the box, but I found that it left gaps on the corners.  So it was easier for me to cut the strip into 4 pieces, two of them just under 4" long and the other two just under 2" long.  I like the corners much better.

I then ran a strip of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the Celebrations Duo embossing folder (the one that says "celebrate") and added that to the front of the box.

The party theme was blue and purple; my sister-in-law had chosen some ribbon for the packaging, and I was able to match the purple to my Elegant Eggplant cardstock.  So we cut out the Silver Foil numbers, using a retired set of Little Numbers dies and punched out an Eggplant circle for a tag.

The blue ribbon was tied around the box, and then a bow of the purple was added along with the tag.

I forgot to take a photo of the inside, but we used the silver and white packages of the Suite Soiree Ready Shreddie (shredded paper) on which to nestle our silver Hershey's Kisses and purple Ghiradelli Blueberry Chocolate Squares inside.  A really sweet and pretty little take-home for the party-goers.  And the caterer loved them!  Can you say new customer?  😁

An Epic Day

I'm so in love with the Magical Day stamps and the Myths and Magic Suite!

The Magical Day stamps include mermaids, dragons, unicorns, a wizard and a knight.  Just what you need to make your own castle scene.  So how did I do it?

I started with the castle wall.  Easy peasy with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder; I pounced some Smoky Slate ink directly from the ink pad to the raised side of the folder, placed the Smoky Slate cardstock inside and gave it a trip through the Big Shot.  It looks so real!

But wait!  That window!  I knew the retired label punch would be perfect, but it was too long.  So I just snipped along one of the "seams" in the brick wall, punched the window, and carefully glued the wall back together.

Each image was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampin' Blends.  The coordinating Magical Mates Framelits dies make cutting them out super simple!

And look at that pretty grass and vine to Rapunzel's window--that's the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper cut with the framelits.

The sentiment is an "original" .  I took the "Wishing You a Lovely Day" from Lovely Wishes, and masked the "lovely".  Then I carefully masked everything but the "N" in "wishing" and stamped it to make "AN"--whew!  Good thing these are photopolymer stamps that I can see through!

"EPIC" is made using individual letters from the Labeler Alphabet--with this set you can make ANY word!

My nephew is a total Disney fanatic and loved to play with Legos when he was little.  I thought this would be a perfect card to celebrate his birthday.

Are you sold yet on Magical Day?  I'll have more samples soon; I can't stop playing with it!
