Foiled Christmas

Almost sounds like something out of 2020 - "Curses!  Christmas has been foiled!"

But no, I really mean FOILED Christmas; take a look:

Lots of foil!  And so shiny!

The Red & Green Foil Sheets are the star of this show!

I had some Green Foil Stitched Rectangles cut from a previous class, and wanted to highlight one here.   So that was the start.  But I needed a fun/simple image to go with it...ah - a Tree Angle tree.

The poinsettia image was stamped first, and then the leaves were lined up and stamped around the flowers.  It was a cinch to cut out the "tree" using the Stitched Triangle dies.

Some Red Foil was trimmed with a Layering Squares die and it was all mounted to my green rectangle.

The Stitched Rectangle dies were used for the rest of the layers to perfectly set off this little tree.

Isn't that a "merry" little card?

Starting Tuesday, many of the wonderful products from the August - December Mini Catalog will be on sale.  This is your chance to stock up and save on your favorite papers and accessories or to pick up a special stamp set that you haven't yet ordered.  Many items are reduced from 10-50%!  But supplies may be limited!  So don't wait - once they are gone, they are gone for good!

Joy & Cheer

Let's have another Merry Monday, and let's make the paper the star!

This cheerful holiday card uses the Heartwarming Hugs patterned paper to make cute trees.

Stitched Triangles dies were used to cut the tree shapes from Mossy Meadow cardstock.  The trunks of the trees (from Tree Angle) were then stamped.  The layer was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder for a little extra texture.  And check out those jeweled trees!  Every red square on the paper was dotted with a Red Rhinestone!

See the tree toppers?  They are All the Trimmings Embellishments.

With hardly any stamping, this card is a cinch to recreate!  And is sure to bring a little "joy and cheer" to the recipient this holiday season, don't you think?

Happy Wishes

Time for another Merry Monday!  At this rate, I'll be done with my holiday cards way before Thanksgiving!  That's NEVER happened...but without much to do I figured I might as well get a jump on it.

So:

I LOVE Plaid Tidings patterned paper!  So much so that I've been using it for my Cards by Mail this month.  But this particular pattern did not get chosen for the club, so I wanted to give it a little love.

Last week, fellow demo Cindee Wilkinson showed a technique she called the "quadrangle".  It's where you take a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper and cut it into four 5-sided pieces.  Interesting, right?  If you want to give it a go, take your 6" x 6" square and make a little mark at 1-1/2" on all four sides.

Then place your paper in your trimmer with one mark on the cutting line, and the mark on the opposite side also on the cutting line, like so:
                                                                           ðŸ”»

                                                                             ðŸ”º

And cut:

Now place your cut (long) edge along the top of the trimmer:

with your mark on the cutting line.                  ðŸ”º

And cut:

Repeat with the other half and you will have 4 quadrangles, all the same size:

And that's how I made the plaid quadrangle for today's card.

I matted it with Shaded Spruce and mounted it to a piece of Whisper White, embossed with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder:

The trees are from Tree Angle, and are cut with the Stitched Triangles dies.

Another fun look for the holidays!
