Spring Corners

Yesterday I mentioned that the 2023-25 In Colors would be retiring in April.  So today I have another play with another "going away" color, Boho Blue.  I think of all the colors in this collection, this will be the one I miss the most.

I also wanted to play with the decorative edges from the Spring Corners dies.  So that's where I started.  Cutting them with Boho Blue, I glued two together to make the edges, and cut my Basic White paper to fit.

I used the Spring Corners stamps for the greeting, but had a lot of white space to fill.  Country Flowers to the rescue!  I love that little teapot (colored in Boho Blue) with the bouquet of flowers!  So springy!

Oh, Boho Blue...boo hoo...I will miss you!

What 2023-25 In Color will you be sad to see go?  Boho Blue, Wild Wheat, Moody Mauve, Gray Granite or Copper Clay?

An Amazing Day

I had a little peek at some sunshine today, so pulled out my new Spring Corners stamps and dies to do a little creating:

 Love!

This cheery card made my heart smile as I was making it, and my grin expanded as I got closer to finishing it!

I started with the sun from the dies - so simple and yet so effective.  I thought briefly about adding a smiley face, but decided against it.  What do you think - does it need a face?

The greeting is actually an L-shaped stamp so it fits in the corner perfectly.  Then I stamped the lines in the opposite corner to balance out the card.

I stamped each of the flowers and colored the flower centers and leaves with Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist Blends.  Just a hint of color, as the spaces are so small.  Then they were cut with the dies and popped up on Mini Dimensionals.

Since the stamping was done in Tuxedo Black ink, I decided to use a Black card base.  But it was a bit dull.  Some triangles to the rescue - I used the now-retired Stitched Rectangles to cut cardstock (Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist) and then cut the pieces into triangles.  This added a small splash of color over the black.

A few Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins finished off the outside, but I had one extra flower:

We can't have a blank inside, can we?

Spring Corners is an OnLine Exclusive.  Lots of possibilities; check it out!

Spring Corners Sneak Peek!

How about a little sneak peek of an upcoming stamp/die bundle?

Spring Corners will be available through the OnLine Exclusives starting in January.

The stamp set has multiple phrases that wrap around the corners of your cards.  There are also some images (balloons, flowers, heart) that go along with the greetings.

And then there are the dies.

For this card I just used one die, the daisies.  It fits neatly in the corner of my card and really adds some splash!  I first used the die to cut the top layer of my card.  The I cut two more - one in Granny Apple Green and another in Daffodil Delight (both with Adhesive Sheets on the back).  Then I pulled the colored pieces and added them to the white layer, fitting them in to the cut-outs, like a mosaic.

There are several other dies in the set - 3 corner pieces as well as dies to cut some of the images in the stamp set.  It's really versatile and can be used for lots of occasions!

Watch for Spring Corners, coming soon...
