Relaxing on the Beach

One of my favorite new bundles is the Notes and Totes stamp set and coordinating dies. Not only does this die set make an adorable tote bag, but it also has dies that can make a beach- or spa-themed card.

My card club made this card this past weekend:

Don't you want to throw down a blanket and relax in the sun? And you'll have your water bottle ready when you need a drink.

This simple card used the water bottle, starfish and shell dies, along with a greeting from Notes and Totes. We created "sand" by tearing some Crumb Cake cardstock and adding sprinkles of Crumb Cake ink using one of the stamps in the set.

The sun is a die (two actually - the corona and the circle center) from Spring Corners.

After "burying" the bottom of our water bottle in the sand, we popped up a few beach finds - a starfish and shell - on Dimensionals.

Next time we'll tuck our water bottle and some suntan lotion into our tote...stay tuned!

A Stampin' UP! Tote

I like to send my customers a "little somethin' somethin'" and a hand-made card when they place an order with me. And when I saw what Liz Shannon had done with the Notes & Totes dies, I knew I had to copy it.

GAK! It's a Stampin' UP! tote bag!

When I attended the OnStage convention in March, demonstrators were given a black tote bag. It wasn't exactly like this, but close enough.

Then I took the stamps and dies from Crafting With You (on the Last Chance List!) to create a thank you card for crafters!

I love this little tote! And it can be used as a gift card holder, or, as used here, to hold other little items.

And check out the background! That is the new Corrugated embossing folder - so fun!

After creating and adhering the tote to the card front, I added the Cut & Emboss machine, a pair of Paper Snips, some bakers twine (in two colors - Strawberry Slush and Summer Splash) and the Paper Trimmer, all stamped/cut with Crafting With You bundle.

Notes & Totes will be available when the 2025-26 Annual Catalog goes live, May 6th. Be sure to pick up your bundle; you are sure to have a blast creating with it!

Notes & Totes

My preorder arrived yesterday and if you know me you know what I opened first. I just love me some beachy stuff!

OMG! What's not to love about a Beans tote bag hanging on a fence at the beach? With all the accessories!

Notes & Totes is a new stamp and die combo that will be available in the upcoming 2025-26 Annual Catalog. The stamps are going to be a nice addition but the dies are to "die" for! So much fun!

I started by stamping the sun and then using Blending Brushes to add some "sky" and "sea". The "sand" is torn Crumb Cake cardstock, stamped with the "sand" from the stamp set.

The fence is a die that cuts and embosses the paper to look like wood, although I used a piece of the Country Woods DSP.

And then the bag! Basic Beige with Blueberry Bushel trim. A Melon Mambo "purse scarf", sunglasses and a water bottle--everything you need for a day at the beach!
