BIG Thanks!

I needed some thank you notes for customers and pulled out the Great Big Greetings set.  How fun is this:

The sentiment is the only thing needed on the front of this card - it's a show-stopper!

I decided that, although I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black, I would go with a pastel card to make the words stand out even more.

The card base is Powder Pink, with a layer of Basic Black, and then the main image is on Whisper White.

But after looking at the image, it seemed awful lonely all alone on that piece of Whisper White.

So I grabbed Happy Celebrations; this set has come great round stamps, and I stamped the circles in two sizes, using Powder Pink ink.  Much better!  But it still needed something...aha!  How about some bling and splatters?  Using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, I flicked the large brush against the inside of the cap - instant splats!  And Black Rhinestones finished it off.

How about a little ribbon?  Easy--just wrap the Powder Pink 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon around the edge of the card, and add a knot with a Glue Dot!

Easy to create, and fun to receive!

Just Add Text

I received a wonderful set, Just Add Text, during the On Stage Local that was held in San Diego last March.  When I needed a thank you for a special customer, this was my go-to set:

Paired with the fun Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, Just Add Text made a beautiful card.

I chose my colors directly from the DSP:  Pool Party, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Soft Sky.  The DSP on the bottom of the card inspired the stamping on the top; using the round stamp from Happy Celebrations, I mimicked the colors and created my own DSP.

Here's the sentiment, stamped and cut out with the Stitched Shapes ovals.  A slightly larger one in Tranquil Tide uses the Layering Ovals Framelits dies.

And see those flowers?  Two-step stamps from Happy Birthday Gorgeous (so easy to stamp, as they are see-through-photopolymer) and snipped by hand, with Glitter Enamel Dot centers just make a perfect embellishment.

And of course there's a matching envelope!

Happy For You

Who doesn't love happy occasions?
My niece and her husband just moved into their first home, and I wanted to send them a congratulations card.  How about this one?

This card just made me happy!  How about you?

Unfortunately, making it was not a happy occasion!  I had a completely different card in mind when I started, and went through a number of iterations until this one finally "appeared".  Has that ever happened to you?  Where your head and your hands just don't talk to each other?

But I digress...

I totally LOVE this card!  It's a Thick Whisper White cardstock base, with a layer of Night of Navy on top.  I ran a rectangle of Bermuda Bay through the Big Shot with the Festive embossing folder (retiring!  On sale; get it now!) and then added a piece of new Lemon Lime Twist cardstock embossed with the Large Polka Dots folder (also retiring!).

The "Happy" is from Happy Celebrations; it was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink, and overstamped with the "splash" from the same set, using Lemon Lime Twist ink - LOVE!  "New Beginnings" was heat embossed on Night of Navy with White Embossing Powder after being stamped with Versamark ink.

The sentiment panels are raised on Dimensionals; there's a Lace Doily behind them.  And some Enamel Shapes (Brights and Regals) were added to finish the card.

I hope this makes you smile!
