Mini Thank You

Sometimes you just need a mini card.  I had a package I was sending out and wanted to include a little note, so I created this:

Just a 3" x 3" card, this one packs a BIG punch!

I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut to 3" x 6", and scored at 3".  I then took a piece of Rich Razzleberry and cut it with the Layering Squares dies.

The Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper has this pretty Rich Razzleberry polka-dotted patterned paper, which I cut with the Stitched Shapes dies, layering it on the Rich Razzleberry scalloped square.

I stamped and colored the flowers from the Happy Birthday to You set (FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying order) and cut them out with the Birthday Dies (purchase this coordinating product while supplies last).  And see those extra leaves?  LOVE!  I used the dies to cut them out of some Pigment-Sprinkled paper I had lying around--they add SO much!  I also liberally painted on some Wink of Stella, for some extra shine.

The Label Me Bold stamps gave me the perfect sentiment, stamped in Rich Razzleberry and fussy-cut with my Paper Snips.

Just a perfect little card enclosure!

Don't miss out on the Happy Birthday to You and the Birthday Dies.  As you can see, this set isn't only for birthdays!

Wednesday's What's On the Desk?

I have a box of "orphaned" card pieces that never made it to an actual card.  So sad...so today I pulled out my box for my Wednesday's What's on the Desk?  Watch me create with bits and pieces.

This was my starting point.  Lots of pieces with nowhere to go...but let's change that.

I have an idea, and I need some pretty flowers.  The Happy Birthday To You (FREE Sale-a-Bration item) is a good place to start.

I like the yellow scalloped circle on my desk, so let's make these flowers Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

Now how to combine all these pieces into a card.

I've got this piece of Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles paper sitting around, so I cut a few of the leaves with the Birthday dies.

Now, where am I going?

OK, liking it...but needs a little more Bermuda Bay to go with the "happy"...

How about some sprigs from the same dies?  Yes, please, in the Noble Peacock foil to match the word.

And what color for the greeting?  Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green or Daffodil Delight?

Oh, that last one is my favorite.

The circle needed some texture, so I embossed it (retired embossing folder 😟).

Lots of layering, but I like it.  Still needs something though...

Yes!  Noble Peacock and Holiday Rhinestones!  Perfect bits of bling.

OK, ready for my closeup:

Here we are - lots of leftovers that, with the help of a new stamp set, come together in a lovely card.

What's on YOUR desk?
