Perfectly Pears

Day 2 of a July Challenge in which I am participating, and today's goal was to use "forgotten color combinations".  Well, I had to think a little, but recalled that my most Unfavorite color is Calypso Coral.  And paired with Petal Pink would be a combo I would probably never choose.  Until today!  And I love it! Look:

I had just received a box of new products including the Perfectly Pears stamps and dies and the Painterly Pears designer series paper.  And lo and behold, one of the colors is Petal Pink.  So...there was my combo.

I started with a Petal Pink base, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4".  Folded in half, I then folded BACK the top, creating a fun-fold card.  The DSP was cut to 2" x 5-1/4" (2 strips) and layered over Calypso Coral.

For the inside I layered another piece of Petal Pink over the Calypso Coral, embossing half of it with one of the Glass & Gardens embossing folder.  Then I added a small strip of Basic White for writing a little (very little!) greeting.

My pears were first stamped (the outline) with Pecan Pie.  Then I used Petal Pink for the inside (it's a two-step stamp).  Once colored, I re-inked the stamp using a Calypso Coral marker on part of it, and re-stamped, giving some shading to the pears.  Pretty!  The leaves were colored using Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.

And don't you just love the hash-taggy accent?

Painterly Pears Suite of products is available now in my OnLine Exclusives store.  Take a look!  And remember, these items are available only while supplies last, so don't miss out!
