Sneak Peek - Adorable Owls

I promised you some sneak peeks of what is to come in early January, and today I have a card made with ALL new products.

Adorable Owls is simply...adorable!  Three little owls ready for just about anything.  This one is celebrating a birthday.

My little guy is stamped with Tuxedo Black and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I then fussy cut him.  But I added something extra - he's holding a flower from Conversation Bubbles (another new set).  In order to add the flower, I stamped a second owl body, cut it out and colored it to match, and cut around one of the hands.  After inserting the flower (and adhering it on the back) I glued the body over the original.  So cute!

The greeting (from Adorable Owls) is actually two stamps; I masked part of the "hoot hoot" stamp and then added the second greeting below.  And it's cut with the Conversation Bubbles dies!  Love!

Can you see the two colors in the ribbon?  This is the Balmy Blue/White Variegated Ribbon, also new.

And then those sequins - new Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

And finally the paper - these patterns come from the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection.  The background stripe is part of the Country Floral Lane 12"x 12" Designer Series Paper, while the plaid is a piece from the Country Gingham 6" x 6" DSP.  The colors in both coordinate so they are easy to mix and match.

So there's your first sneak peek!  The January - April 2023 Mini Catalog will be available starting January 5th.

The Adorable Owls stamps are from Sale-a-Bration, which will also be starting the same day, but will only last two months.  So order early and get the best selection of FREE products - these always sell out quickly and you won't want to miss out!

Last Merry Monday for 2022

I thought I was done with Christmas cards, but no...I needed a few more.  So I have one more Merry Monday for you, and I love these cards!  But to get there:

Who else has a craft desk that looks like this?  I don't know how I was even able to work in here!  But somehow the chaos was semi-controlled, and I ended up with some beautiful cards.  Wanna see?

First I wanted to create a "not Christmas" card.  A friend of ours does not celebrate the holidays, but I always like to remember her with a card.

From our home to yours...of course I needed to emboss little houses on the card front!  The Soft Succulent cardstock is subtle, not really Christmas-y, yet adheres to the season (for me!).  I used a piece of designer paper from the Fitting Florets pack, and bordered it with some Evening Evergreen cut with the Basic Borders dies.

And wrapped it all up with some Evening Evergreen ribbon.  Love!

But then, I got an idea:

Using basically the same layout but entirely different look!  I have not shown the Boughs of Holly designer paper anywhere near enough love this season, so I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece for the side of the card.

But having the pretty paper on a plain background just didn't seem right, so I embossed another piece of Evening Evergreen with the Merry Melody embossing folder.

Soft Succulent cut with the Deckled Rectangles dies, stamped in Evening Evergreen and mounted on Basic White cut with the Scalloped Contours dies was perfect!  And look at those tiny poinsettia flowers!

I used flowers from the Merriest Frames dies, stacked them atop each other with a retired Holiday Rhinestone in the center. The little leaves were hand-snipped.  So cute!

So that's it!  The end.  Fini. I'm done!

Well... not entirely!  Just done with holiday cards.  But I'll be back this week with more sneak peeks from the upcoming January - April 2023 Mini catalog as well as some samples with new Sale-a-Bration stamps.  So c'mon back for more...

Country Wreaths for the Holidays

I've got one more extra-large card today; I've been making these for a group of women who will be signing it for an instructor.  And I love this one!

Done in Soft Succulent, it's a holiday card without the traditional brighter green color.  And I used the Country Wreath dies in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent, embellishing with a Real Red bow and Red Rhinestones.  Festive?  Yes!

I mounted the wreath on a piece of Early Espresso, cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies and embossed with the Timber embossing folder.  I love the rustic look!

And inside:

One more three-panel card.  This one has a stamped wreath (Cottage Wreaths) first, then opened all the way:

I used some retired stamp sets to decorate the inside.

I think this may be the last holiday card I create for this year!  Can't believe the year is almost over...where does the time go?

But the beauty of this Cottage Wreaths stamp set is that it's not just for Christmas!  Stamp or cut it out in other colors and you can have a wreath for just about any occasion!

Pick up your Cottage Wreaths stamps and Country Wreath stamps today!  And be ready for a new year in which you make lots of wreath cards!
