Hello Harvest Sneak Peek

Oh I do love me a good pumpkin stamp!  So when I saw the Hello Harvest stamp set in the upcoming July - December 2022 Min Catalog, I was hooked!  The traditional shape of a pumpkin is so appealing to me, and I love autumn colors.

So I'm not quite sure where this card came from:

I didn't use the stamps for the pumpkin.  I used the coordinating Rustic Pumpkin dies.  And I didn't choose the "traditional" pumpkin shape; I chose a stylized pumpkin shape.  And although there are some autumn colors on the card, the base is black and white.

But I love it!

The Rustic Harvest designer series paper is really pretty!  Plaids, squiggles, diagonal stripes, dots, pumpkins, leaves and flowers - they are all there!  And many with a black background, which I normally would not equate to Fall, but somehow it truly works!

I love the pumpkin.  Cut with two pieces of Basic White cardstock and the dies, it has some neat embossed detail, as does the pumpkin stem.  (Stem?).  I lightly sponged it with a Blending Brush and some Crumb Cake ink to diminish all the white.

The leaves were stamped in traditional harvest colors - Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler, and cut with the Rustic Pumpkin dies.

I just finished it off with a few Matte Black Dots.

What do you think?  Does it have the "autumn vibe"?

The July - December 2022 Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure go live on Friday, July 1.  It's a great time to purchase for your fall and winter holiday season, as it gives you lots of time to create.   Plus, for two months only, every $50 order gets you a FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Don't miss out on FREE!

Cottage Wreaths Sneak Peek

Who doesn't love a nice, pretty wreath, especially around the holidays?

When I saw Cottage Wreaths and the Country Wreaths dies I knew I was going to have a little fun with them.  Look:

I'm not really ready for Christmas yet, but I loved the greeting (from another new set, Very Best Occasions), and decided to go for a holiday wreath.  It's a DistINKtive stamp, so inking it with just one color gives you the variation you see here:

After stamping the wreath in Soft Succulent, I cut it with the dies.  I also stamped and cut the bow.  And do you see that Deckled Rectangle frame?  Sitting on my desk - a left-over from another project, and it just looked right for this card.

The greeting was stamped directly on the Designer Paper - the Gingham Cottage paper has 48 sheets of marvelous plaids in many colors - just perfect for a year of card-making!

And do you see those little red dots in the holly?  Another new item - Pearlized Enamel Effects in Real Red (you get three colors in one package!).  Now you can add little enamel dots to anything you want, and  make them as small or as large as you want.

After I was done with the Christmas card, I began thinking about other holidays.  So how about this:

Using just the dies, I created a patriotic wreath for 4th of July.

Real Red strips were added to the card front to simulate a flag; the greeting, also from Very Best Occasions, was masked (the stamp says "endlessly grateful") and stamped in Pacific Point.

So there you have it!  Two wreaths, one stamped and one created just from the dies, for two holidays 6 month apart!  I love getting multiple uses from stamps and dies!  As I said, I'll be creating with this set all year long...

Are you excited about the July-December Mini Catalog yet?  It goes "live" in just another week, so c'mon back for more ideas over the next few days.

Sneak Peek - Soft Seedlings

What's better than a SIP?

Stamps, Ink, and Paper - SIP.  An easy way to create.  Minimal supplies, maximum loveliness!

I recently had a need for a sympathy card.  I had just received my pre-order of products from the July - December 2022 Mini Catalog and thought this set, Soft Seedlings, would be perfect - calming, understated, and beautiful.

This is a DistINKtive stamp - one that is textured in a way that when inked, it has various shades of the color.  So pretty!

The font for the sentiments in the set (there are four!) is lovely too.

Once I stamped the card in Garden Green I felt something was needed to make the images stand out just a little - a bit of So Saffron on a Blending Brush did the trick.

Just a few Polished Dots and I was done.

The July - December 2022 Mini Catalog will be live on July 1st.  Need a copy?  Contact me to find out how to get your FREE copy.  I would truly love to be your Stampin' UP! demonstrator!

Sneak Peek - Tree Lot Dies

I'm still sharing Sneak Peeks all Week long, and today I've got a cute card using one of the Sale-a-Bration offerings - Tree Lot dies.

Sale-a-Bration is a wonderful time of year, when with every $50 - $100 order you get to choose a FREE product from the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  One of the FREE offerings  (with a $100 purchase) is the Tree Lot dies.  These coordinate with a stamp set from the July - December 2022 Mini Catalog, Trees for Sale.  And they are SO cute!  Take a look:

Are you ready for a vacation?  When I saw this little camper I knew I had to get these dies.

I cut the camper using Silver Foil to make it look like an AirStream trailer.  So fun!  And check out those trees - such texture!

I used the Horizon dies to create the scene, cutting the mountains with Garden Green cardstock, the lake with Pool Party and "road" with Early Espresso.

The greeting is from In the Moment (I masked the stamp so only "Relax" is visible).

I'm on vacation on Cape Cod, but I'm already pining for a "glamping" trip in a little camper like this!

The July - December Mini Catalog goes live July 1st, and there are wonderful Sale-a-Bration products available the same day.  So get your Wish List ready and shop; but don't forget your Sale-a-Bration rewards!
