A Happy Thing

Last week I shared a card we made at our February Card Club (here), and today I'll share another.  This  month we learned the masking technique, and it was such fun to see how each card was different.
This simple, but elegant, card was made using the FREE Sale-a-Bration set, A Happy Thing.  We first stamped the single lemon branch on Whisper White cardstock.  This was then masked (I stamped it on a post-it note, with part of the stamp on the sticky part, then fussy cut it carefully right on the lines.  This is then placed over the original stamp--the mask prevents the second image from stamping over the original) and stamped again.

We then took Aqua Painters with Daffodil Delight re-inker and Old Olive re-inker, and quickly painted our lemons.  I note "quickly" as Whisper White paper doesn't like to get too wet--it will buckle and "pill"--but with a quick swipe of the Aqua Painters, it came out perfectly wonderful!

The rest of the card is very simple--a few layers (Daffodil Delight and Basic Black), but we needed a "filler" on the top and bottom:
Just two quick score lines (score the INSIDE of the card) with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and we were done.

All items can be purchased here.

What have you created today?
