Sweet Pea

I'm going to a baby shower next weekend.  My nephew and his wife are having their first baby, and the theme of the shower is "home grown".  I noticed that the invitation (very cute) was sprinkled with tiny vegetables and flowers to fit the theme.

So I was perusing Pinterest to get ideas for a baby card and saw one that just seemed to be perfect.  Cindy Brumbaugh had created a very cute card using the Sweet Peas stamp set...and the thought of "peas" felt very "homegrown" to me.  So I CASED Cindy's card.

Is that not the cutest?  😍

And I'll bet you'll never guess whether this child will be a girl or a boy...😆

OK, they are having a little girl, so I went with pinks!  Surprise!

A card base of Melon Mambo was topped with a layer of Pretty in Pink - such a great combo!  On my white layer I stamped the leaves in two directions (it's just one stamp, inked and stamped twice).

Then I added a layer of the Full of Life designer paper; it's a 6" x 6" sheet of multicolors that I cut so just the pink area is on the card.

The Nested Essentials dies made the perfect die-cut to stamp the tiny pea and greeting.  And everything is colored with Stampin' Blends.

I finished with a few of the soon-to-be-retired In Color Shimmer Gems (the Shimmer Gems are retiring but new Flat Pearls will be coming in the same colors).

I think my "home grown" card will be just perfect for this wonderful baby shower!

Be sure to check out the Last Chance list of products that are retiring May 5th or when sold out.  There are some great bargains and products you might have missed.  (Sweet Peas is on sale!)
