It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Autumn

Chilly mornings, gray skies, even a little rain...autumn is in the air here in Oregon.  I can't say that I'm ready - the summers here are glorious, and for someone who likes sunshine, the transition can be tough.  But we DO get some absolutely gorgeous fall days with lots of color as the leaves turn; that should be happening soon.

So, in order to get ready, here are two cards from my September Card Clubs, both featuring Hello Harvest and the Rustic Harvest Designer Paper.

For those attending in-person class, we stamped the pumpkin from Hello Harvest on Cajun Craze cardstock, cutting it out with the Rustic Pumpkin dies.  I love the little vines that are included in the dies.

The patterned paper was cut to 3-3/8" x 3-3/4"; the 3-3/8" piece was then cut into 1-1/8" strips (three of them).  They were evenly spaced across a piece of Mossy Meadow (3-7/8 x 4") and then adhered to the Basic White layer.

I love that pumpkin!  Just the perfect pumpkin shape!

Then I had a card for those who received Cards-by-Mail.  For this card we used the dies to create the pumpkin:

This pumpkin has 4 pieces:  two for the body (layer the middle, thinner piece over the larger bottom), the stem and the vine.  The pumpkin pieces are embossed - the die does that as it cuts, creating a pretty fall pumpkin.

And finally I had one more option for those who wanted a Halloween card:

Same lay-out (this wonderful card template can be used with different papers, stamps and colors to create a whole new look), but this time we used the Gingham Cottage patterned paper, and had a Basic Black card base.  The die-cut tree and owl were from a retired set of dies (Frightful Tags), and the "BOO" was cut with the "vintage" Playful Alphabet dies.

Which is your favorite?

Heads up:  Coming tomorrow - 24-hour sale on ALL stamps from the Annual Catalog (except for host sets).  Don't miss it!
