#SimpleStamping

I invited a new friend over to stamp after she expressed interest in a pack of cards I had gifted someone.  As she had never stamped before I thought we would start very simple - stamps, ink and paper.  First we practiced mounting the stamp on a block and inking it (lay it on the ink pad, then lightly tap-tap-tap the stamp to pick up the ink).  Now it's time to add the image to our paper:

And this was the result!  Isn't that lovely?

We used Sending Smiles and all of the new In Colors, along with Mango Melody for one of the flowers, and Daffodil Delight for the flower centers.  Easy peasy, and Carol did a wonderful job!

So then we stepped up our next card, adding a simple embellishment:

More stamps, ink and paper - Oceanfront and Paradise Palms (and the soon-to-be-retired On the Horizon for the birds) on a Very Vanilla Note Card & Envelope.

But this time we added the Faux Sea Glass to add just a touch of "extra" to our card.

Stamping doesn't have to be complicated or intimidating.  Carol loved her cards, and can't wait to come back for another class.

Try some #simplestamping!  I think you'll love the outcome too!
