Time for another Merry Monday, and today I have a fun-fold card for you.
I first saw this on Debbie Henderson's blog and decided to give it a try. It's actually VERY easy!
Take a look:
Looks cute, but wait 'til it opens:
How fun is that?
This is actually a little gate-fold card adhered to a standard-size piece of cardstock. Easy!
I started with a piece of 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Real Red cardstock and adhered the Mossy Meadow dotted paper from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper pack. This was then set aside.
The top piece is Real Red, 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2", 3-3/4", 7-1/4" and 9". This is then folded in towards the center on the 3-3/4" and 7-1/4" folds, and then backwards on the 2" and 9" folds, so you have a mountain-valley on each side of the center.
I added 4" x 1-3/4" strips of the Mossy Meadow dotted paper to the inside panels, and 4" x 1-3/4" strips of the red patterned paper to the outside panels. Then the whole piece is adhered to the 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece I set aside (above) for a card base.
The inside panel is 3-1/4" x 4", and is stamped with the Frosted Gingerbread stamps. The little peppermints were stamped in Real Red ink and cut out with one of the Gingerbread dies. So cute!
Then the outside. A Real Red 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" square was topped with a 3" x 3" piece of Basic White, stamped with a greeting in Mossy Meadow. And those bells! LOVE! Cut using the Gingerbread dies and added to the front with Liquid Glue, then topped with a bow of Real Red Ruffled Ribbon.
Who wouldn't love to receive a special card like this?
