My oldest son is having a birthday today. He's quite the special man - wonderful son, loving husband and terrific father of two. He never asks for anything, but is always available and willing to help. So I decided to make a simple, festive card for him, as he doesn't like being in the spotlight.
I love the bright colors! Putting them against black really makes them pop! Each strip (Bermuda Bay, Magenta Madness, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody) is 3/4" and is embossed for some extra texture.
The Playful Alphabet letters were backed with Foam Adhesive Sheets prior to cutting them out, so they "pop" too! And I cut the "birthday" die (retired) three times, slightly off-setting each layer/color so they look like bright shadows.
A simple card for a wonderful son! Happy Birthday, Evan!
