Garden Impressions

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a Demo Stamp & Chat at the home of Mercedes Weber. Mercedes is an Artisan Award winner, and regularly contributes gorgeous cards/artwork for Stampin' UP! displays.  When we get together, everyone brings a "shoebox swap" - we have all the materials for a card that we share and everyone gets to make one.

Here is Mercedes' card:

Wow!  Such a beautiful card, and the lovely Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper does most of the work.

The card base is Thick Whisper White.  The Blueberry Bushel layer was run through the Big Shot with the Subtle embossing folder for a fabulous, subtle texture - almost like linen.

The DSP is adhered to a layer of Whisper White, and then we stamped the sentiment from Abstract Impressions.  This is layered on a Smoky Slate banner with a half-piece of Pearlized Doily, and then popped up on Dimensionals over some Lovely Lipstick.

The card is finished off with a punched rose (from the DSP) - we used a 1" circle punch, then "fussy cut" slightly to make it look like it was cut out.  Genius!

Thanks, Mercedes!  This is one super-pretty card!
