Ok, ok, retired stamp set...
I got this set (I Dig You) several years ago. In fact, I got it when my first grandson, Ethan, was turning one--he's now 6! But I haven't been able to part with it, and I'm so glad I didn't...I love this card!
I had to figure out just how large a card I could make and still create an envelope for it to fit in. So I lined up all my stamps on Grid Paper, and then used the Envelope Punch Board to find a large-sized envelope pattern. The card ended up being 4-1/2" x 8-1/2".
The stamps were colored with markers, and after "huffing" on them, stamped on Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then they were fussycut.
Hard to see, but the "ground" is Early Espresso that is ripped to create a hillside. Then I stamped Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures stamps in Early Espresso ink to replicate a "road".
The card base is Soft Sky; I sponged more Soft Sky to give the sky some depth; the clouds are cut using the Umbrella Weather framelits.
I used Number of Years for the "1" and the sentiment.
Here's the inside--using the new Happy Birthday, Gorgeous set.
And the back:
A special sentiment for a special grandson!

So cute Prisciila, he should love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteNot sure if Declan will love his card, but I know his mom and dad will! :) And I had a ball making it...it just kept growing. In fact, I had to check the Envelope Punch Board to see just how large an envelope I could make--this card is just about the biggest one I could do without having to buy a large envelope!
