Thanks a Bunch

When I first saw the Market Goodness stamps in the new 2024-25 Annual Catalog I wasn't impressed.  And then I saw someone stamping some little tomatoes, and I knew I had to have this set!  ðŸ˜Š

So for my monthly Card Club class this past weekend, I thought I'd introduce these cute vegetables to my friends:

Adorable, right?

And look at the patterned paper!  The coordinating To Market designer series paper was the perfect companion to my little tomato stamps.

And this is a fun-fold card!  We started with a piece of 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Real Red cardstock, scored at 1" and 5-1/4".  The patterned paper was adhered to the larger side, and our focal panel to the left, smaller side.

And fully opened:

So cute!  And that greeting is perfect - "thanks a bunch".

Be sure to check out Market Goodness and the coordinating dies and patterned paper. I think you'll fall in love with it the way I did!

A Graduation

My granddaughter recently graduated from high school.  What an achievement!  I'm so proud!

I kept seeing cute pictures of cards using Birds Eye View, similar to the sample on page 105 in the Annual Catalog.  I knew I could use this idea, and I did:

I love that little bird perched on a stack of books!

I stamped the book pile, masked it, and stamped again, creating a larger stack.  Then I added the bird.

Vickie's favorite color is pink - so naturally a pink bird.  But her high school colors are teal, black and white, so I pulled out a piece of retired black and white dotted DSP and adhered it to some retired Taken with Teal (yes, I still had a few pieces!).

This fun-fold card was similar to one I had seen by On Y Go Stamping, but I made it wrong.  And I actually like it better!  ðŸ˜Š  The smaller side of the DSP should have been on the other side, but this way created a pocket (for the check we included):

So I was happy with the way it worked out!

And check out the little graduation cap:

I used a small circle punch to cover the bird's head and added a diamond-shaped piece (hand drawn/cut) with a brad in the center and wrapped with some baker's twine.

Congrats to all the grads out there!  Your accomplishments are to be celebrated!

Another Anniversary

June is such a busy month for my family!  We have several anniversaries and birthdays at the beginning of the month, and we can't forget Father's Day...lots of opportunities for card-making!

I'm finally sharing a card I made for my son and daughter-in-law's anniversary.  Evan and Christy were married 18 years ago (so hard to believe!) and they are such a beautiful couple.  So I think they deserve a beautiful card:

I was so happy with the way this turned out!

I started by stamping the large image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set.  Then, using the coordinating masks, I colored it using Blending Brushes and a few shades of reds and greens.

But I couldn't stop there, even though the image was gorgeous enough to just layer on a card base.  I cut the image with the Layers of Beauty dies, and popped it up over a layer of cardstock embossed with the Exposed Brick embossing folder.  So pretty!

I wanted to bring out the greens as well as the reds, so I added an extra layer of Garden Green cardstock before mounting on a Real Red card base.  All this needed was a few Red Rhinestones to finish it off.

But the inside:

I stamped the sentiment with a tiny flower, cut it out and layered it over some green leaf die-cuts.  Just a little something special for inside the card.

Layers of Beauty is one of my favorite sets, and the masks make you feel like an artist!  The results are stunning!  Pick up Layers of Beauty today!
