A Tiime for Sympathy
Although these are cards I never want to make, sympathy cards are a must-have. At times we all need one, and having just the right card at the right time is so important.
So when I needed a sympathy card last week, I went to Painted Harvest; look at how beautiful this card is:
And deceptively easy, right when I needed a fast card.
The base is Thick Very Vanilla, and the stamped images are on a slightly smaller piece of Very Vanilla using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green for the leaves.
Notice that I scored two lines (from the back side of the cardstock) all the way around. This adds such an elegant, embossed edge, and is so easy, using the Simply Scored Board.
The sentiment, from Weather Together, was stamped with Early Espresso ink on a strip of Very Vanilla. This has holes punched in either side, and Linen Thread wrapped around the card, through the holes.
Glad I had the "right" card for the moment it was needed.

Halloween Cat
Have you seen the new Cat Punch? So cute!
Can you see my black cat?
I was playing around with things that were sitting on my desk, and put them all together to make this card. I had a piece of Basic Gray with the brick wall Embossing Paste design, and a square of retired DSP that I experimented with to make the quilt square. So I decided to do something with it all.
That quilt square! I took some DSP, Basic Black and Tangerine Tango and ran them all through the Big Shot with the Quilt Builder Framelits Dies. Then I mixed and matched the pieces to come up with a quilt square, and realized it looked like Halloween!
And I had been playing with the Embossing Paste and the brick mask from Pattern Party Decorative Masks, so I layered my quilt square on top. But it needed something...
The Halloween label from Labels to Love (with the matching Everyday Label Punch made it easy; I stamped, punched and mounted on a second label of Tangerine Tango (cut in half horizontally and "spread" it to make the layer). Some Tangerine Tango Enamel Shapes finished off the label. But it still needed something in the corner...
CAT! The Cat Punch was perfect--just using some Basic Black cardstock.
Done!

Pizza Boxes?
Order me up some of those Mini Pizza Boxes! They are the cutest little boxes we've had! These white, food safe, 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1" boxes are sturdy, handy and adorable!
So I started with the pizza box, and created a belly band using Emerald Envy Designer Series Paper. Then, using the Layering Squares Framelits, I cut an Emerald Envy square and a slightly smaller Whisper White square.
Then it was time to decorate my belly band.
Using one of my very favoritest flower sets ever, I grabbed the Beautiful Bouquet stamps and stamped flowers in Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight, then cut them out using the coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits.
Isn't that perfect? Ready to gift a yummy cookie, some Hershey Nuggets, or a little piece of jewelry.
Does anyone have a recipe for mini pizzas?
