Yes, it's your last chance...last chance...for Love...
Well, no, not really. But it is your last chance for Sale-A-Bration! Tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:00 p.m. California time is your last moment to order anything from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, and once it's gone, it's gone!
So I thought I'd share one more (final - sniff) project with you, using the almost brand new Pedal Pushers (141312) stamp set:
I'm so in love with the fabulous Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (140557) (fortunately NOT going away yet!) and had to use it for this cute card.
The card base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock (140272). I took a piece of the Birthday Bouquet DSP and adhered it to a very-slightly-larger piece of Blushing Bride (131198) cardstock. Then I cut both layers with my Ovals Framelits (129381), running off the edge.
I temporarily adhered this piece to my base and carefully lined up my bicycle, which was stamped with Archival Basic Black Ink (140931) (so easy because the photopolymer stamps are completely transparent). I stamped the basket (Crumb Cake ink - 126975) and cut it out; using it as a guide, I stamped the hearts and colored them with Watermelon Wonder (138323), Blushing Bride (131172) and Pink Pirouette (126956) markers. Then I just popped the basket on with a Dimensional (104430). The bike was colored with Pool Party (126982) and an old Silver pen, and I added some "dirt" so my bike wasn't just floating out there (Crumb Cake and Work of Art (134111) stamp set).
I finished by adding a piece of Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon (134558) tied in a double bow, and adhered my top piece to my card.
This would make a cute bridal shower, engagement, wedding or anniversary card.
Like it? Well get it NOW! If you delay, it won't be available. Just a $50 order will earn you the Pedal Pusher stamp set for FREE! What are you waiting for?

Weekly Deals
A big thank you for coming back day after day when I've been so absent lately! I owe you some major apologies, but with trip to return my elderly parents to the east coast (and sneaking in a visit to the grands while I was back there anyway), the death of a family member with funeral attendance and then a very big wedding anniversary for the hubs and me (with resulting get-away weekend!), blogging (and actually the more important part--creating) has taken a back seat. But I'm back and looking forward to a few days of down time, hoping to get in some good, creative, me-time!
While you're waiting, take a look at these Weekly Deals. And don't forget--the end of 2016 Sale-a-Bration is only a few days away! Don't miss out on your favs--order by Thursday evening!

Thank You Notes
Take a look at the thank you notes I created this month for my customers:
I love the "You're Sublime" stamp set, but haven't used it at all! What? Yes, it's a sad truth that I often buy a set because I have all kinds of ideas for it, and then it sits, lonely, on my shelf, for, like, forever!
Well not today! I needed some thank you notes and pulled it out. Easily stamped the image (it has the sentiment attached) using Archival Basic Black Ink and then went to town coloring with Blender Pens and my ink pads. So fun and relaxing!
Once done, I just cut out the image using my Lots of Labels Framelits dies, wrapped some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine around the top, and adhered the label with Dimensionals to the front of the Whisper White Note Card (with envelopes included).
I did think it needed just a hint of pizzazz, so I took some left-over sequins from a Paper Pumpkin kit and added them with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Easy peasy. And oh, so cute!
I hope my stampin' friends enjoyed their thank you notes this month!

A Fancy Fold Birthday
Here's a fun birthday card/gift card holder that I saw on Dawn Griffith's blog. I made one (I'm preparing for a "birthdays only" class in early April) and liked it so much I thought I'd send one to my brother-in-law later this week. Take a look:
From the front, it doesn't really look ALL that special. But that little circle at the bottom is actually holding it closed...
Once you release the card, the bottom unfolds into two sections, and you STILL have a card at the top. Then you open the card and...
...there's a place for the gift card and the sentiment. Wowsa! Such fun!
I started with a base of Whisper White Thick cardstock, cut 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2", just like a traditional card. But then you score in the middle of one of the sides and fold it back on itself.
Each section is covered with English Garden Designer Series Paper, mounted on Night of Navy cardstock.
Then there's the small card:
This is attached to the larger base piece.
I used BYOP and Perfect Pairings (this can be yours FREE with a qualifying Sale-a-Bration order, just through the end of this month!). These were stamped in Night of Navy and Soft Suede ink.
Try one of these cards--it's fun and should make the recipient smile as the cards unfolds and unfolds to reveal a surprise!

Gettin' the Mojo Going
I've had the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit sitting on my desk for months. I mean MONTHS! I bought it after seeing the samples and because I loved the fonts and the sentiments of the stamps included in the set. And then it sat on my desk. And sat...and sat...
Until last Friday! When my stampin' mojo had yet to put in an appearance and I really wanted to make something.
I opened the box and got all giddy! So many card bases (20!). And so many tags/labels and accessories. And oh, those stamps! <squeal!> It even comes with Stampin' Spots of Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder ink pads. The ONLY thing I needed to add was some Tombo Multi-Purpose Glue.
So I went to town. Now remember, I said my mojo was gone, so I ONLY created straight from the directions. I did change out the stamps on some of the cards, as I didn't really want a "You are so loved" card when I needed more birthday cards. But other than that, I followed the directions.
And look what I got:
I will totally enjoy sending out these pretty cards.
So I'm recommending this fabulous kit for anyone who enjoys making cards, loves a good font, and wants lots of cards without a lot of work.

Hexagon Hive Thank Yous
Pulling out some of my old goodies. Does this happen to you?--You get new "toys" and get all caught up in the newness of them, and forget about your old "toys"?
Yeah, I was not giving some of my formerly favorite toys any love, and decided to change that. So I pulled out my Hexagon Hive Thinlets Die and look what I made:
I needed some thank you notes for customers, and thought this would be pretty. And I really like how they turned out.
After cutting out the die with Basic Black card stock, I used scraps of Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper to run through the die again. I also pulled out my Honeycomb Hello stamps and then I went to town.
Laying the die cut black on my card base, I carefully stamped some of the stamps using Basic Black ink. And "You're the Best" in Watermelon Wonder.
Then I just adhered random pieces of the DSP under the die cut or on top of it. I finished by adhering the die cut to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
A little time consuming, but a smashing result!

A Lovely Thank You
If you've been following my blog, you know that I've just returned from an East-Coast trip, and look what was waiting for me when I got in last night:
This lovely card was sent to me by Nancy, one of my stampin' buddies. Isn't this pretty?
Nancy had purchased the Botanical Blooms bundle and made great use of it for this card. I love the colors (guessing here, but I believe it's Tangelo Twist or Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron) along with Garden Green.
And don't you love the way she used the Botanical Builder framelits to cut such a beautiful border?
Hard to see in the photo, but I think there is also some Wink of Stella in gold on that yellow flower, along with a sequin. Love it all!
Thanks, Nancy!!
If you'd like to leave Nancy a comment below, I'll be sure to get it to her. And if you'd like to make a card like Nancy, be sure to purchase your supplies before the end of the Occasions catalog (May 31)--in fact, get them before the end of March and you'll qualify for a FREE Sale-a-Bration item--and what could be better than the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack? This is the matching vellum paper to use with this gorgeous stamp set--the Vellum has white printing on it that matches the stamps and DSP...just beautiful!

Pardon My Absence
Please excuse my absence for another day or two--I've been on the East Coast (Massachusetts and Maryland) returning my parents to their home on Cape Cod after wintering in California with me, and then taking a nice trip to Maryland to visit two of my grandsons. I had posted projects for the last 2 weeks, but have now run out...
I'm coming home tomorrow and will be busy Friday with new ideas. Please come back then!
And now I have to go push a swing for my Jakie...

A Manly Birthday Card
I always seem to struggle when making a birthday card for a guy. Why is that? Just because I like pretty colors and ribbons and embellishments...and most men don't?
Somehow though, when I saw Bear Hugs, I knew that I could make something kinda "natural" with it. And here's what I came up with:
Isn't that fun?
My son-in-law is a fisherman. He loves to fish. So what could be better than wishing him a "day full of sunshine and a lake full of fish"?
This card starts with a Soft Suede Base and a layer of the Neutrals Color Collection Designer Series Paper. I cut a Whisper White layer and stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink.
My fish were stamped with Soft Suede and cut out using the matching Bear Hugs Framelits Dies (can't get much easier than that!). Then I colored them all using the Wink of Stella in gold--catch that first fish--see all the sparkle?
I knotted a piece of Linen Thread on each side and stuck it down with a Glue Dot; my fish were added with Glue Dots or Dimensionals.
Of course there's a matching envelope--so easy to add a piece of the DSP to the flap and trip around the edge!
Happy Birthday to my son-in-law! May your day be full of sunshine while you catch a lake full of fish!

Congratulations to Izzy!
So naturally I had to make her a special congratulations card! Take a peek:
I used Simply Sports, and truth be told, I had to stamp the panels three times to get them right (arghh!). My Stamp-a-Ma-Jig was the superstar here..between the figures, the ball and the ponytails, I relied on this trusty tool to get it all lined up.
The base is Basic Black, but I cut it to 5" x 11"--the card came out to 5" x 5-1/2". Then there's a layer of Cucumber Crush, with the sides cut on the Stampin' Trimmer with the Rotary Small Scallop blade. Next comes a layer of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.
The players were stamped on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink; the first was stamped full strength, and the others were stamped off once or twice. The Very Vanilla panels are 2" x 4" and are layered haphazardly on more Cucumber Crush.
The sentiment uses letters from Calling All Heroes--so fun!
Because the card is an unusual size, I had to make my own envelope--thank goodness for the Envelope Punch Board and In-Color Envelope Paper!
Congrats, Isabella! May you play hard, play fair, and play your best!
